Stefan Kristinsson, was born in Iceland on April 6, 1979. He received his first music education in the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik, studying Cornet and Recorder.
It was not until 1989 that his life took the direction of becoming a church organist when his grandfather saw a small ad in the main newspaper of Iceland from the Music School of Icelandic National Church.
His first teacher was Jakob Hallgrimsson who was a violin player, composer, and organist. It was Jakob which introduced the world of composing to Falcon1 and taught him the basics of harmony and counterpoint theory.
Later, in the year 2000, Falcon1 began studying advanced theory, including advanced studies of harmony and counterpoint. His main theory teachers were Gudmundur Hafsteinsson and Tryggvi Baldvinsson, both Icelandic composers.
In the year 2004 Falcon1 graduated from the Music School of Icelandic National Church as a Cantor. In this same year, Falcon1 received a teaching position in the Music School of Austurbyggðar teaching theory and on piano.
Enjoy!
