Nigel Wood
Lives in West Midlands, United Kingdom
I am based in Birmingham, UK and write primarily for the saxophone, as I am a saxophonist.
All of my pieces have been publicly performed and some have been recorded and broadcast. Although some of my pieces may seem technically demanding, I write with performance in mind. My music is also used by students and teachers and several of my works now appear in several examination syllabuses (ABRSM,GSMD,Trinity).
I am currently publishing my own and other saxophonists works via Saxtet Publications. A scorch sample of every piece is available on the catalogue. I have also created a Sax Scorchers page with a selection of links to scorchmusic composers who have written music featuring the saxophone.
