Lives in Bristol, United Kingdom

My undergraduate studies were in Bath and later I researched for my doctorate in composition at Nottingham Universtiy under the perceptive Nick Sackman. Influences and interests are far ranging.
As a clarinettest and saxophonist I've performed widely in all types of musical styles and ensembles, orchestras for over two decades. As a composer I've been fortunate enough to win a number of prizes for my work and been afforded the chance to work with Opera North and The Association of British Orchestras.
I've very much enjoyed my two years as composer in residence at the Wells Cathedral/ St George project and more recently working as Assistant Composer to the SPNM Sound Inventors project.
This summer (2004) I've been working with the City of London Sinfonia as Composer in residence at Barton Hill Primary in Bristol.
Currently I teach Music and Music Technonlogy at Sidcot School near Cheddar.
