Michael Procter
Lives in Weingarten (Baden), Germany
Michael Procter is well-known as director of courses for singers and choirmasters throughout Europe, as director of the European vocal ensemble Hofkapelle and as editor and publisher of a wide range of Renaissance choral music. He founded the International Academy of Sacred Music, Venice in 1992, which explains the number of Venetian pieces in his catalogue. He studied singing, teaching, choir-training and historical performance practice at the Royal Academy in London, where he was the first student to gain the LRAM as a countertenor. He was also awarded the Professional Certificate of the RAM and the performing diploma of the Royal College of Music, and subsequently gained an MA at City University, London. Michael Procter is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
